My EA-1 crashes all the time and I want to replace it but don't want to have to rewrite all my data. If I buy another EA-1, can do a data dump of all the patches and patterns from the old one to the new one? How does it work? i.e. Does the new EA-1 just have all of its data replaced with the sent data? Does it need to be in some sort of "data receive" mode?

thanks,
-Josh

If you initiate a dump from one EA1, the other should receive it. I think you need to be in MIDI or Global mode for the Sysex dumps to be received (at least that's how it works on the EMX1.)

I need to get my butt into gear and do some GTRC templates for the EA1 which would make all of this so much easier.
