hello all.
have had the little fella for a year so far. read the manual but haven't delved right into it yet. it's my first synth so has been interesting to learn about sound creation.
problem:
I have a SP200 korg (basic piano keyboard) that I use for sound creation. I have this linked vis midi to the MK. The MK I want to sound sometimes and not sound others (so have AB switch setup for this) but I also want the case where both are sounding at the same time but the MK is not receiving midi info from the SP200 - so either the sound continues from what I was playing or I have the ability to play them independently.
So I am basically after a footswitch that can turn the midi signal to the MK on and off.
Is there an easy way to do this. Thought about using a footswitch that changes the midi channel on the MK but I think that stops the current sound created from the MK and I don't want it to be interrupted, I just want all future midi signals from the SP200 to be cutoff.
Any help would be great
thanks

That could potentially be quite bad, because you won't get the MIDI Note Off message, and then you will get stuck notes if you're not careful.
You could change the midi channel of the controller instead?
Cant think of any other solution right now. |

thanks
yeah I just figured out this on the SP200. I just change the midi send channel. Transpose+C#2 = midi channel 2 (or D#3 if want = 16). Then transpose+C2 to get back to midi channel 1.
Have to do by hand but now think this should be able to be done with a foot switch somehow. Just have to have the the midi input into SP200 with a message that changes the midi channel send (I think possible?).
..but I think I still get that possible problem with not ending some notes. I just have to be careful that I'm not playing.
Cheers
