first of all im really new to music production basically, i have a imac, Mbox 2 and the korg X50. i bought today two stereo 1/4 jack leads, now ive connected both the individual outputs of the korg x50 to the TRS line input 1 and 2 of the m box 2. ive than set up an instrument track on logic 9 reset the channel strip settings so its clear and then inserted the korg x50 plug-in editor, ive than added a stereo audio track and set the input of it to 1-2 when i press record or monitor all i get is static and a solid level showing on logics mixer no sound is generated by the keyborad but the plugin works fine and i know it just generates midi. ive tried the same setup with the DI input but still not luck. i must be doing something wrong if i cant record the X50's sounds or yet hear them??? PLZZZ can anyone help
i hate giving up |

The individual output jacks on the X50 are 1/4" Mono and nothing is sent to them unless you change the routing inside the X50 to send to those outputs. You should hook one 1/4" mono cable from the Main L/MONO output to line input 1, and another from Main R to line input 2. Then see if it works now. Don't use stereo 1/4" TRS cables, only mono TR cables. |
