if i connect my MK to my computer via a midi to usb cable....

1. will i be able to sync the Arpeggiator to my master program??? for eg. Ableton.Sync the bpm or something on those line.

2. Be able to use my MK as an external plugin like a vst synth.

3. use it as a synth and midi controller at the same time.

which would be better??? midi to midi cable or a midi to usb cable.???
speed and connectivity wise. I have an external sound card (Edirol UA-101)
