Hi!
I'm sorry for the delay, yesterday evening I came back home too late to post it.
Here you are my September entry: http://www.madinitaly.com/OSAM/Diego-0809-TripInsideMe.mp3
It's a preview of the remix of the new song of my band...
Yes, I do remix of my band's songs
The song it's titled "Viaggio dentro me" (Trip inside me, in english).
Here you are a possible translation of lyrics:
Lyrics [ITA]:
Io ho un'opinione di me
un'ossessione che a volte
è difficilmente controllabile
Difficile come me
Difficile anche perchè
è di una natura incomprensibile
Lyrics [ENG]:
I've got an opinion about myself
an obsession that sometimes
it's hardly controllable
Hard like me,
Hard also because
it's from an incomprehensible nature
Hope you'll enjoy it, I'll finish the remix as we'll finish recordings of the original in the studio; at the moment all tracks have been made by me using sounds from the M3.

I love the punch of the beat and the vocal has cool energy too, I'm trying to decide why you decided to go with such distorted vocals. Maybe in the final it will make sense to do it that way. I really like the energy here and the sounds really pull together to make this one club style dance thing. _________________ George Nelson is 2loose

Hi George!
Well, the song has been written by my guitarist, during a period of his life really complicated, while he was on the edge of a bad nervous breakdown...
He turned it into a rock style, and in my remix I wanted to turn it into distorted vocals, at least for some significative passages.
Thanks a lot for your words, this is just a preview, as I hope we would have had all tracks recorded before the end of september, but at the studio our sound engineer had some problems, so we need some more weeks to go...
I wanted to start my remix project before I have all tracks completed, as it's quite independent from the original version.
If you can, give a listen to these two italian bands, which I find very very interesting:
http://www.myspace.com/bluvertigo
http://www.myspace.com/subsonica
They should be quite of inspiration for my remix process, as I don't want exactly a dance club versione, but a particular type of psycho/electronic...Hope to be able to get in the end what I have in my mind...

The grooves here are very inspirational to me. I'm looking for edgey rock/dance grooves. That's what I'm listening to these days. I love it. _________________ George Nelson is 2loose

It's really good to see the lyrics too, I get a good feeling about following the song along (and the translation is handy too).
I like the overall sound and feel to this, it's quite up front and edgy. _________________ Chordial |

Hi!
Thanks a lot for all your kind comments!
I'm still wait to get the original version tracking done, then after the recording process is completed I won't wait for the mix, I'll start with my own work on the re-mix of the song.
Be sure, I'll keep you posted as I'm very curious, too _________________ Diego http://www.myspace.com/diegoinmusic

Wow - neat vocal sound! But oh man - so short!
Yes - as George says - lots of energy!
I'll add this to your long list of unfinished tunes that hopefully one day we'll get to hear. _________________ Care for a jelly baby?

You're so right
My list of unfinished song is very long
BTW, hope that KF and this kind of "be forced" to produce something will help me to complete something, and find the right balance between time for music and time for the rest.

Hi Diego
I love the way you come up with these completely unexpected-sounding songs!! This one is very strong indeed, and when completed will express the emotional crisis that your friend was going through.
At first I didn't like the distorted vocal very much, but after a few listens I can see how it will fit with the song.
Regards from

Well the snippet you have given us is quite energetic. The softer synths contrast well with the coarse vocals. It will be interesting to hear where this goes.
It feels like it might break into a clean vocal stacked on a guitar driven chorus. Reminds me a bit of the Russian band Total.
Can't wait to hear the full.

Hi Diego,
You did a very good job with the arrangement, its clean, powerful, well executed. I'm not sure about the vocals though. I see the idea behind it but would still argue to ease the distortion a bit. Its hard on ears.
Looking forward to hearing the full version

Hi!
Thanks a lot for your comments.
I appreciate everything you saied, both positive and "negative", as they can bo correct and useful for me!
Dee, I'm glad you liked it in the end!
Jon, you're right, I guess it will be the way the chorus go...but it'll be a remix, too, so who can say what will jump in my mind...you know that I'm not so "planned" when it comes to be strange in my music
Sewa, I wanted the vocals to sound really distorted; maybe you find them even more "hard" as they are not in a language familiar to you, I think if you could understand them while singing it should have been better. BTW, thanks for writing it, I'll seriously consider to low a bit the distorsion amount.
