HELP!!!
I was having issues with KLC-1 (specifically Legacy Cell appearing as a VSTi inside Cubase) so finally upgraded to v1.2. All seemed fine - the license went onto my dongle happily, and no problems were occurring.
Sooo - I went away for two days. Came back and now I get the desciptive
"USB Device has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it"
- referring to the MS-20
I've tried a different cable, I've tried using DrvTools, I've tried reinstalling v1.2.2, I even tried plugging the ms20 into a different PC - and again, instead of "USB Audio Device" I get "Device Malfunctioned".
I can't believe that leaving the box for 2 days has caused it to mysteriously break, but it does look that way. Similarly, I can't think that upgrading to 1.2 has caused the MS20 to fail to be recognised...
Any suggestions?
Thanks

I'm a Mac user. Your problem might be that you need to install a new USB driver. If you go to the Korguser.net software download page and scroll down to the bottom to "Other Files," you'll find a newer version of the driver.
Kind regards. _________________ Dave Bourke

I thought that, and got the latest version of DrvTools (other files) - but no dice. The problem is that *normally* Windows thinks it's a USB Audio Device: and then lets you update the driver with the Korg supplied one. This time it just thinks it's an unrecognised device - even on a PC that's never had it installed, it just pops up with unrecognised device as opposed to USB Audio Device.
I've contacted Korg UK support - shall see what they make of it... |

Windows might have got it's knickers in a twist over the drivers - it did exactly the same thing to me with my MPD16 controller, one minute it worked next minute it was malfunctioning.
I have sinced reinstalled XP from scratch (due to a personal cock up!) and so far everything is working fine... |
