|
|
First off, In new to these forums but not on keyboarding! i have an old yamaha from the late 80's and have been talking about upgrading to the microkorg. I was at guitar center fooling around with one for about 45 minutes! but i have one quick question. I have seen how you can "lock" keys to play on there own. How do you do this? i think it would work well for vocoding along with my guitar (1968 BC Rich)
Thanks, Travis |

1. You want the arp to keep running as you play along with it...simply press the ARP key.
2. You want to keep the vocoded tone going after you stop playing...page 3 and page 10 of the manual state:
If a Vocoder program is selected, this key
switches Formant Hold on, letting you hold
the tone currently produced by the vocoder
without continuing to speak into the mic. assuming that's where your guitar is now...
page 10: While vocalizing into the mic and using the keyboard to play vocoder sounds, you can "freeze" the current tone of the vocoder by pressing the FORMANT HOLD key. This allows you to continue to play the current vocoder sound, even when you are not vocalizing. This tone will be remembered when you Write the vocoder program to memory.
That's when you engage the ARP... _________________

I think you are actually looking for the 'latch' feature of the arpegiator, you can find it under the arpegiator section controls.
set latch to 'on' and the arp will continue to play after you let go of the keys.
allthough to turn the arp off you will have to hit the arp button. |
