General MIDI patches for M1?

Apologies in advance for what is I'm sure a stupid question:

I'd like to use my M1 as a sound module with Finale--and of course Finale is set up to use General MIDI patches.

Is there a way (perhaps via RAM card or some other downloadable something-or-other) to temporarily replace the M1's patch directory with General MIDI patches? Or is the easier way to just create a library of M1 patches in Finale to use instead of the General MIDI ones?
