I know I've done it before by accident, but I'm trying to get this distortion sound and having no luck. How can I mix a patch so that it heavily distorts in an almost rolling fashion at the low end like this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vmfAZazJKXI _________________ Current: MS-20 Mini, Minilogue, SY77

If you mean that droning bass sound that starts the track, it's just using an LFO for a tremelo effect.
Try routing one of the LFOs (sine or triangle) to WS Depth and also to amp Level (two V Patch slots). Adjust the Drive/WS to get the distortion you're after then adjust the V Patch depths to taste. _________________ I sing the body electric |

The pleasing harmonic discordance is caused by phase/tune differences between two notes beating off of each other (ahem) as they are played at the same time, with heavy distortion to magnify it.
Try playing thirds or fifths or sevenths and use distortion. Detune slightly to create the beating-off effect.
Another way to create the effect is using FM distortion modulation to automatically mimic a third/fifth/seventh while playing just one note. I can easily do this on the Virus but not on the Radias (however simply playing thirds/fifths/sevenths mimics this aspect). The oscillators on the Radias are also triggered differently which makes it harder to simulate. _________________ [Free Moss Set For All Workstations With Moss Expansion]

Alright, I'm on recreating it.
Just to be sure I'm right, are the chords
G#m (D# G# B )
E (B E G#)
E (B E G#) A#dim (C# E A#)
G# (D# G# C)
I'm a little uncertain about that A#dim, I think I may need to drop a note or rearrange the inversion _________________ Current: MS-20 Mini, Minilogue, SY77
