Q1
i use a microkorg in my band and im trying to emulate certain sounds which are obviously not in the presets one of them being violins i already use the strings but i want to know if violins can be made?
Q2
also i wanted to know if i could put my guitar through my microkorg but now just turning the amp blah blah up or using the vocoder i want to be able to use the microkorgs settings as the inital sound but also control the notes with my fret board? |

Hi YVinyls,
Q1- You could certainly create a good violin sound using the microKORG, if the built-in string Programs aren't doing it for you.
Here's a brief introduction to imitative sound creation, including a few tips for creating string sounds.

Q2- You can definitely plug your guitar into the microKORG to use the internal effects (we recommend going through a preamp first), but the microKORG will not track the pitch of the guitar. To accomplish what you want to do, you need a guitar with a MIDI output, connected to the MIDI input on the microKORG.
