You can program the step sequencer to play a groove/melody on the first few keys, and whilst it’s playing back, automatically replace the sample on each key one after the other with an audio source (e.g. my guitar) using AUTO NEXT set to record only those keys.

I can play my guitar’s actual audio as if it was attached to an arpeggiator, by replacing one note/chord/scrape/harmonic at a time, and because the AUTO NEXT cycles round the keys it’s set for, you can just keep changing the notes indefinitely!

I can get some really interesting rhythm patterns and evolving chord progressions, as well as some crazy riffs. It feels like playing with a kind of advanced multitap delay.

I'll give it a go tonight.
I've not posted a sound before, I'll need to create an account on some storage website first won't I?
Which (free) ones are worth a look?

i'd really like to hear this too, i think it might be near to a workaround i've been looking for so i can do the kind of stuff i'd been hoping to do with the 'looper effect'...i'll have a go at following your instructions with it tonight...

it might be nice if you could make a video of it and put it on youtube - then we'd be able to see what you're doing too (like for those of us who don't own a microSampler yet). I'd love to see it.

otherwise yes, you'd have to get an account on some other file or audio hosting site.

yeah, video would be great.....even just a shoddy one on your phone or something......but if that's not possible, a sound file and an in depth description would still be much appreciated.....i got a little lost trying to get to where you got, by following your original post.....cheers

Oh dude it's not that hard...just get a youtube account (free) then post a video of what you are doing. Trust me your youtube video on the subject of microsampler would be the best ever since everyone else can't seem to do anything else but play with the mic and the DS-10. What you have sounds revolutionary and inspiring but no one can judge that for sure until we all see it. Youtube man!!!

OH yeah and I really want to see and hear how this works because this would almost be worth spending the insane ticket price for to have this as a guitarist. Deadvolume, you could very well be the one person to sell me on this device... Very Happy

Righto, I've got next week off work so if I haven't already done something by the weekend I'll definitely sort something out.

I DID do a live recording of it last night on cubase, but it was quite late and I'd just got back from the pub, so it was pretty crap to be honest.

Must try harder... Confused

Just uplodaed onto file factory, not sure if this works tho

http://www.filefactory.com/file/a0f0410/n/Crapeggiate_-_Output_-_Stereo_Out_mp3

As I said it's a bit crap, and I got bored toward the end, but you get a general idea of what's possible (hopefully when you're sober)

File factory also known as virus factory....

Get a you tube account put in a picture for the sake of the video need and up load the audio. Youtube is the best way to go...actually, the only way to go.

Thanks for trying though.

Yeah that was all live and in one take (that's why it's a bit ropey in places), just started off with a rhythm that was already programmed into the sequencer and went from there replacing one note at a time. I'm off work this week so video will come shortly.

Normally Filefactory always works fine for me and I was about to disagree (Ive used it for ages for U-loading/D-loading without prob's) but yes indeed this particular link is well fu*king dodgy.
Each time I open it it crashes my IE.
The Filefactory homepage is cool and the gang still though but the Ad's on the link you gave us DeadVolume are well mental. Not your fault, I'm sure. Thanks for actually going to the trouble to UL this. From what it appears this feature you found/discuss may actually be a reason for me to stop sitting on the fence with this new instrument and possibly buy it.

Now all I need to happen is for me to somehow hear this demo!

FF must be allowing more bad piggybacking than usual Sad
Shame as I always liked it a lot and any previous crapware you got from it was not virus-y at all and always easily flushed out with my CrapCleaner. FF ffu*ked up.

Any chance of you DeadVolume or someone re-uploading this demo to another host please?
