Korg is pleased to announce the availability of the new EXi XPansion
Sounds for the OASYS, with 128 new EXi Programs and 96 new
Combinations. The Programs include classic analog bass, lead, pad,
and synth sounds from the AL-1; modeled electric pianos, innovative
plucked timbres, and ethereal pads from the STR-1; new
expertly-created organ voicings for the CX-3; and more.

The Combinations use these new Programs in conjunction with the
factory preload sounds to create evocative layers, useful splits,
driving rhythms, and lush, evolving soundscapes.

Korg has also released a minor update for the OASYS 1.3.3 installer.
This new version, 1.3.3a, includes the MOD-7 and LAC-1 sounds
inadvertently omitted from the 1.3.3 installer.

The OASYS software included in the new installer is exactly the same
as 1.3.3. The only difference is in the sounds which are installed.

If you haven't yet updated to 1.3.3, we recommend that you download
and install 1.3.3a! There are cool new features, such as KARMA 2.2,
along with a few bug-fixes.

If you previously upgraded directly to 1.3.3 without first installing
1.3 or 1.3.1, then we recommend that you install 1.3.3a in order to
get the new sounds.

If you previously installed 1.3 or 1.3.1, and later upgraded to
1.3.3, then you do not need to install 1.3.3a.

Both the 1.3.3a update and the EXi Xpansion Sounds are free for all
registered OASYS users, and are available from the OASYS Downloads
page on Korguser.net:

This is absolutely magnificent news. A HUGE thank you to Korg - this is a genuine surprise and a very welcome new release. New sounds for AL-1 and STR-1 - phew - amazing! I've said it before and I'll say it again - receiving expertly developed programs and combi's from Korg is significant and greatly enhances the OASYS.

Thank you again Korg and OASYS team - really appreciate your time and expertise on these. And they are free of charge - incredibly generous give these lean times!!

Kevin.

I absolutely agree.

I always felt a bit underwhelmed by the original AL1 presets, maybe this is the answer to my prayers! And having new combis is very very sweet! Especially since I find the original ones so great, and even more so since making my own "great" combis takes forever!Wink

May I ask, out of curiosity, who programmed the new stuff?..

Again: great news! Very Happy

MauroR77

I don't really understand what your beef is. We are releasing updates in support of the product.. I don't get why you have a problem with this?

Isn't that sticking to the promise?

Maybe you would like to air your exact problem with Korg in detail, in public here today so users who may not have encountered you before can understand where you are coming from.

Mike

Fantastic news, as noted! Very Happy

Thank you Korg for this sounds update to the OASYS.
The existing OASYS EXis has so much to offer, unleased potential, and its nice to see you´ve been working soundwise on them.

I´m sure they will be superb, as usual. Smile

After the last sad news we had, we didnt expected anything anymore, so thats makes it better.

Thank you once more, Korg, I mean it.

And may I say... keep working?
Wink
