New to koreg products, been figuring out the EMX, but wondering what the significant difference of the ESX is?

The main difference is that the ESX only uses samples unlike the EMX which has analogue modeling built it.

In a nutshell:

ESX=Sample workstation

EMX=Synth workstation

mmk, but what exactly does that mean? Sorry i'm completely new to everything electronic.
By sample do you mean I record other sounds, then organize them into a melody???

Basically you can sample anything from anywhere and then sequence those samples into music on the ESX's built in sequencer. The ESX has audio inputs that allow you to connect a microphone. a turntable, a CD player etc....and sample away. On the ESX you have 4 minutes+ of sample time to work with, which is more than enough time for most people.
You can also trim your samples and make them into Single cycle waveforms to play on the ESX's internal Keyboard parts.
The Homepage of this site has an excellent summarization of the ESX in its products section. Check it out if you can. They also have some pretty good audio examples Smile

Definitely a good match! The nice thing is that even though they do different things (sampler versus synth), they behave in very similar ways, so if you learn one you'll know the other (minus a few little things).

They make a hell of a combo! Trust me, you'll have hours of fun. It would be money very well spent.

I'd say they are made to match very well. they are both great, but they compliment eachother very nicely

I've got both machines after purchasing a ESX recently and still haven't had a chance to use them at the same time. Rolling Eyes

Hopefully I'll get a chance this week.
