anyone use IR filters here? I'm planning to buy a 720 nm one to still have some colours and get particular effects... but if I had more money I would buy another one for the B/W effects. Any feedback from ir filters user will be appreciated.

Sorry don't have one, but a few people in our club do.
The produce some amazing results when the conditions are right.

720nm will let a bit of colour in the 'reds' range in but it's not necessarily a bad thing. I shot stuff with 720nm in the past and was very satisfied with it as it offers a lot of creative possibility than, say, a 1000nm filter which lets a narrower range pass.
The reds that pass through can be tweaked in to blues for more 'natural' looking pictures while objects reflecting IR light still appear out of this world. For example, shooting places with trees and grass at a sunny summer day and appropriately tweaking the colour ranges in the resulting red-tinted image will give you a more 'familiar' blue sky with all the greenery appearing as white, as if you're looking at a snowy landscape or something completely alien. When shooting with a 1000nm filter will give you less ranges to tweak with resulting in a more restricted B+W kind of image, which can also be good if it's what you're after. Also, 1000nm filters are more expensive than 720nm if I remember correctly.
The one I use is a Hoya R72 and I highly recommend it
