Hi microsampler owners got a few questions about your new sampler
if compared to a roland 404 or any of the other grooveboxes besides the esx-1 how is the sequencer on the microsampler and the patterns. I see that you can have 36 1 shot samples on keyboard at 1 time , can you use it like the esx 1 1shot parts and if using it for hip hop and and wanted more 1 shot parts than the esx 1 would this be the thing to buy ?
im going to be using it like the esx 1 just want more 1 shot parts what do you guys think ? |

You could buy a MIDI controller with more velocity sensitive keys (from 25 up to 88) that can be used to control Native Instruments Battery software (or comparable sample players) and give you all the 1 shot samples you could possibly need for one song and as much polyphony as your sound card can handle. The microSampler gives you 36 samples per bank (no bank switching while pattern playing) and 14 note polyphony. It is a unique machine, not exactly like the ESX1. It is a quality product and I would recommend it, but if you just want as many 1 shot sounds as possible you could go a different route. |
