Hi Dusan,
I was in the past a Cakewalk user with the Pa2x but I have switched to Cubase AI since buying a Yamaha N8 mixer which is closely integrated with Cubase.
However I may be able to help you with Cakewalk and the Pa2x.
Which .INS file did you load into Cakewalk? From where did you download it?
Are you able to record and play back MIDI using the Pa2x?
Is it just the patch names that are not showing up correctly?
Are you using the Korg USB MIDI driver?
Best regards,
Rob |

Thank you Rob for your kooperation.
Step by step:
Iam dowenload INS file from oficial Korg site for Pa2x but when I load them in Sonar the name is changet to Pa800.That is nothing wrong cos I thing is the same INS in bought instrument.
I can do ewerything with Sonar.Play an record so I load Midi driver properly.
Problem coming out when I try to change some voice. In sonar I can see a strange number for Bank like:"15488 Pa800 Bank 3" then in the patch yust name of the Patch with no number of that patch.
I am confused cos in User manuals I cant fined that cinde of number.I like to comper individual voice with number what I can see in Pa2x. Ewery patch in Pa haw a number of bank and number of that pach. Its easy but not in the Sonar.
If Iam doing somethin wrong please let me know.

Hi Dusan,
I think this is an unassigned User patch, that is all. If you use the factory patch names youu will be OK. You can edit the INS file in a text editor to add your own patches.

Hi Dusan,
Just open the .INS file in Notepad and type in the new patch name against the bank and program change number that corresponds to it.
There is an option on the Pa keyboards to enable the display of bank and program change numbers, so you can press the button on the Pa keyboard first.
In the INS file I think the numbers are as per Korg but +1. You can try by experiment.
Regards,
