Some Sounds cause Hanging/Freezing/Dont Fade
Hello,
Some sounds sometimes dont fade away and just stay there looping / bang loud... and wouldn't go away.. Sometimes i even have to turn the keyboard on/off to get rid of it...
I realised its to do with the applied EFFECTS.... which cause the HANG... But still haven't found a way to NOT have these at all.
It seems like a looping effect is happening which is why the sound won't go away...
Any Ideas?

A solution here would be to load in 'Global' fom a personal Backup file that you made before this started to happen. Sometimes we make changes that affect the whole keyboard without realising it. I did the same thing today and my midi files refused to 'sound' even though they were playing. I loaded in a backup Global and everything was as normal. Hope that helps

Re: Some Sounds cause Hanging/Freezing/Dont Fade
Please take a look to Menü/Track Controls /easy edit and make "rest all tracks". May be, that the release parameter is set wrong.some1uk03 wrote:Hello,

Ok this happened again today... and Reset All Track did NOT solve the problem....Please take a look to Menü/Track Controls /easy edit and make "rest all tracks". May be, that the release parameter is set wrong.
Here is an example of what it sounds like... NOISE.MP3 - 0.11MB
This is constantly looping at the back... Sometimes I can get rid of it.. if i play a BEAT/STYLE and PRESS every key on the keyboard at once, as much as I can...
I believe doing this, limits the POLY (how many sounds can be played at once) which is why sometimes it stops...
I don't know if there is any link, but I some how realised it happens mostly after, Coming out of Edit Style Mode.. and I start testing/playing the new style/beat.
Any other ideas why this is happening or how to get rid of it?

Next time when the sounds are hanging you may press shift and start/stop together. Thats a Note-Off command for all channels.
After this there is silence. And then try to change your sustain-pedal.
Thats a mistake what happend to me a long time before. Never at home, but each time on stage. That was stress poor.
Then I changed all sustin-pedals and since I´ve done it, I have no problems with hanging sounds.
But fairly I must say, that my PA2 make sonetimes the same. When I was in Sound-Editor and come back to a Songbook-Entry, then there were some hanging sounds. Not often, but it was realy the same like your PA2 is doing.
After newstart it was solved and after Shift*Start/Stop also. It tried both versions.
May it be, that you have also an PA2 with blowing LEDs ? Its only a question .

Finally a solution. Nice one lessismore. It happened again a few times the other day and it seems Shift + Start/Stop fixes it.LESSISMORE wrote:Next time when the sounds are hanging you may press shift and start/stop together. Thats a Note-Off command for all channels.
I even manage to dig it down a lil further. It actually particularly sounds that cause the problem. I tracked it down to the SoundEdit Mode.
It was on a DrumKit. I checked the mappings in Sound Edit mode, then Basic.. and it seems when the Decay is +40 it causes this LOOP of non stop sound. I put the decay down to 12 and it was sorted.

Hi some1uk03
Thats fine.
Please think about, that the Easy-Edit-Parameters are ADD-Values.
They will be added to the Sound-Edit-Parameters.
When in Sound Edit the Delay is set to 30 und you fix the Delay in Easy-Edit to 40, than you will have a value of 70. Thats very much.
The Easy-Edit-Parametsr are saved in an STS and/or performance.
So you may get a Problem , when you only change sounds in this STS/perf.
The best to do is, to reset a track in easy-edit, before you try some new sounds or drumkits.
