|
|
Hi everyone...
well here i am, frustrated and flustered because i'm having the hardest time making sense of how to get what i want with my 1600 mkII.
Heres my process so far....
First everything has been recorded...
Next i go thru and I take my vocal/live instrument tracks and clean them of any background noise/punches/silence etc
Now...I WANT to first get some better seperation in all the tracks, but the EQ seems so limited...any advice?
Secondly...i want MORE SOUND...I swear one of the worst things about digital is CLIPPING...its so touchy....I'm really either not understanding or not correctly using the compressor/limiter effects on the board because even when I apply them to a track I still cant up my sound to the point that i want it without it clipping all over the place.....I try adjusting attack points etc on it but still it just clips away.
Can you guys give me some help here, It's kinda getting annoying! I've heard quality mixes from people who've mixed on these boards so i know its possible...just need some guiding light as to a process and some helpful details:)...
Hope I can get a hand here....I appreciate it...thanks! |
