nanoKontrol Kontrol editor timeout

Post by pleasuretek »

New nanoKontrol... I got it and started reprogramming it. Worked great for a while, was able to make changes and they were saved. I could unplug nanoKontrol and when I plugged it back in the assignments were correct.

Didn't touch it for a few days... Plug it in to get to work and all the assignments are totally off. the CC numbers are different and many of them do not send any midi at all. The CC numbers are different every time I unplug it and replug it (tested with midi-ox).

And worst of all I get a timeout error every time I try to write scene set or data.

The issue originally appeared on a Windows7Pro x64 machine. I have also tried it on a XP machine.

I have installed the Korg drivers on both machines(yes I know you have to install via programs after you install the installer)

Yep, so got a show tonight, have struggled to get my korg nanoKontrol to load the preset that I need...

I am about to reprogram my trusty yet clunky beringer for current max patch.. so sad... wish I could fit it all in one backpack..

Please Korg fix this issue.... I feel like I somehow "bricked" my nanoKontrol. And everytime I replug it in and open the kontrol editor everything is assigned something new (it wont remember previous settings).

No-one else seems to have the problem, so it must be specific to your unit or something you did.

Have you tried actually contacting your country's KORG support?

The nanoKontrol has four scenes, if I recall. Are you sure that you weren't working on a different scene previously?

no no
if I work on scene1, it shows me a different configuration everytime I start the Kontrol Editor...
and I can't save my settings because it gives me a timeout message

One of my Nano Kontrols always times out when i try to write a Scene (set or data)

I have 3 other Nano Kontrols that are working fine so I'm guessing it's not a problem with my computer.

I live in Iceland and i bought the unit in France so i can't bring it in to be replaced. Do you know if i can send it to Korg to be replaced?
