Hi guys,
Is anybody using this unit?
I'm considering getting one, but am a little nervous about win 7 issues having recently upgraded.
However in the 2nd thread listed below it would seem that running 'as administrator' solves problems.
What about its use in general - latency - pops and crackles etc?
Hows the midi functionality?

2. http://forums.m-audio.com/showthread.php?5909-Windows-7-and-Fast-Track-Pro-(some-progress-))
Peace
Ausser.
PS: I'm running Win 7 32bit Home Premium. _________________ Will we march only to the music of time...?

I was using the Evaluation copy W7 Ultimate 64bit with Cubase 5. No problem. Then I purchased an excellent no latency sound interface from Steinberg MR 816 CSX (http://www.steinberg.net/en/products/hardware/mr816csx.html)
then I started to have some problems. I had to put the buffers all the way up. I have no problem now. (I still have no latency)
Make sure you go to the vendor's web site to make sure they have an updated driver for W7.
So far from what I heard from the steinberg forums and others., W7 is reliable.

yeah, I noticed that the steinberg and a few other interfaces had already updated their drivers to win 7 - which certainly seems to me a good idea.
Its odd that M-audio appear slow on this issue.
Peace

M-Audio have always been a little slow on driver updates -- and are even slower now that they are part of Avid. However ... They've had Win 7 drivers, both 32-bit and 64-bit, since November of last year.
