Hi everybody,
Would anyone know about the connection of the EC5 pedal's pins, i.e. for exemple pin #1 is for switch #1,... pin #6 is ground.
Thank you for your help. |

Hi Pete,
Thank you for your answer, I have that picture (same file), but my question is if you know which pin is for which switch.
Is pin1 for switch 1 or 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6, and which pin is the ground. I have a Ketron foot switch that I want to convert by changeing the tip connector to be used with my PA2x.
Thanks again,

As you look at the solder side, the pins relate to the pedals like this :-
A = 7 o-clock
B = 10 o-clock
C = centre pin in the middle of the plug ( NOT 12 o-clock )
D = 2 o-clock
E = 5 o-clock
and Common is 12 o-clock.
You should be able to cut off the DIN plug at one end of the cable and rewire it as required if you want to use it on a different keyboard. they are just normally open contacts. I used an EC5 for my Roland G70. ( I know, but I do have an Oasys ) _________________ Steve M

Hi All.
Is there an equivalent cable for this that can me purchased and/or modded a little bit to suit ???
Or even buy a cable and suitable plug ends and make the cable my self?
I have an EC5, but I have no cable. And to get cable from Europe to Australia is more $$$ than it is to buy the whole pack ECP & cable together brand new. _________________ Korg Hardware: PA3X / K61P |

Easily done. I'm good with solder etc... But what are those end plugs called?

Take a picture of the rear panel of your keyboard EC5 connector to the store, they will know what to give you |

Having tried a EC5 in the past but want I really want is one simple dedicated foot switch to control the KB sets. I am going to try and connect a PS1 to the EC5 socket and have bought the appropriate Din plug.
I need to know what pin is the common. Looking at the EC5 schematics and the posts on this subject, can someone confirm that the common pin is indeed at the "12 O'clock" position and that this is PIN number 3.
Thanks
Bob |
