Hiya All
I've been pondering this for sometime now and thought I should bite the bullet and post here on IA anyhow to see what sort of response was obtained....
Is anyone interested in doing the above I think it would be a great idea... a chance for fellow musicians to get together and share ideas/music/tips etc in a social atmosphere. A great way to get to know some folk in person.
I appreciate it would have to be done on a local basis because as Sharp has members on IA from all over the world but as I'm still trying to grasp the inner workings of synths let alone the Karma, I thought I'd ask to see if we could get something going locally to South Wales or South West UK for those who are able to get to that location. I have learned so much from everyone here on IA and would still love to learn much more - this would present a great opportunity to do just that
Perhaps we could maybe charge a small amount per person and get Daz/Sharp or a.n.other expert to come along and do a structured session - who knows....?
I'm willing to take on some/all of the admin if it were to work, so please let me know what you think about this.
Sharp - hope it's OK to post this...

I had the same idea a couple of years ago... But I was about to invite everyone on the message board to attend a Triton Party in Sweden... Unfortunately it didn´t fit my, at the time, tight schedule... I would certainly love to attend a "happening" like this one, but I´m to far away from SW ... Maybe I could make it anyway though - please keep us posted!
Best wishes,
Richard |

I'd love to get together with the IA gang for a few drinks in the USA. Now THAT would be fun! _________________ -cnegrad

Particularly if it's preceded by a master class in composing from you
As for the UK gathering, let's see who's game for it first, and decide what the most convenient place would be. It may be we'd have a sizeable reunion in one part of the country and not in another.
I'm in, providing we fix a date well in advance. SW OK for me. Those who'd like such a gathering but elsewhere, let your preference be known.

Woops, missed this ... I don't have much free time right now, so it would be difficult to get involved with something like this, and give it the attention it deserves. It's a great idea. I am surprised Korg don't arrange more of these kind of events themselves ... it's good promotion as much as anything else.

I missed this as well...
Ideed it is a very good initiative. I would be difficult for me to attend ´cos like the others I am so far away from SW, but I really would like to do something like it.
Nevertheless, yes, keep us informed of how it all goes on. Maybe we could find the correct place and a ideal date good for everyone, to do his best to attend. _________________ Regards.

Hi John,
It's been mentioned before but I think geography is the biggest problem with an IA meet. Don't be dishartened by the response.
I can always meet you in 'The Bull' for a pint however
