Do you want to be a collaborator?

Shares are on offer in a startup business to design and manufacture an open platform for sound synthesis called "proSynth". The shares would be in return for work (on an agreed deliverable basis against project plan and with the number of shares allocated as per the business plan). You would also receive a free set of prototypes and development tools and all source code as it is released, plus a free proSynth2 straight off the production line.

The web site is launching later this month.

If you might be interested, then a system specification for proSynth is available, just reply to me by email and you will receive a copy and we can take it from there.

Best regards,

I'm at least interested in hearing more, though depending on the type of programming and the time commitment, I may pass.

Just a comment though; your discussion in this thread seemed focused on the fact that there's no MIDI on the Elektron Octatrack, and that the Octatrack comes as close to your goal as anything you've seen. However, in this video, I clearly see MIDI In/Out/Thru on the back of the unit. Does that change things?

Octatrack is not for MIDI keyboard players. Its loops and sample channels are triggered by its MIDI interface of course. However, it has no polyphony or multisamples or note generator based on samples. I have corresponded with Elektron about it. I asked if Elektron would develop a version for keyboard players. We concluded that I would proceed with proSynth for keyboard players independently and the functionality and market positioning will not conflict. We appear to be on good terms but there is no direct collaboration or sharing of designs/ software etc.

Best regards,
Rob
