With regards to another thread, I thought it would be interesting to see which different synths we are mainly using MOSS (in its standard selectable 'VA/physical-models' based form [ie. as used from within a workstation, Z1, Prophecy, Oasys-PCI etc.], but not in a specific derivative 'offshoot' form [such as the MicroKorg, MS2000, ER1, EA1, Wavedrum, etc.].

So, for just those who already own Moss in a synth/workstation, vote which synth/workstation you are mainly using it from.

(If you have two or more synths which encapsulate Moss, pick the one which you use most often (for using Moss sounds in your music).

The results will be interesting given enough people vote, over time. Smile

Thanks!

Timo

My vote was for the Trinity Solo option because it’s just so FAT.

Could this be due to Trinity filters VS Triton filters. …LOL… Absolutely Cool

Sorry but the Trinity has made it mark.

Bye.
Sharp.

PS: I didn’t vote for the OASYS simply because I never used one. IF I did, I have no doubt my vote would have gone OASYS all the way.

The great thing about Trinity/MOSS/HDR set up is you can get up to 5 MOSS sounds playing at a time with FX and 6 voice-poly each!! WHoooHooo!! Who's still waiting about a dream synth? It was manufactured by Korg in 1995(or 94??)!!!

Wow, so far so good! A lot of Triton Moss owners!

Have realised this poll might be biased slightly, as the forumees of IrishActs here are more leant towards the Korg workstations in general (for support etc), though. Wink

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I'm curious about the OASYS-PCI in the poll. How does one use a MOSS card with an OASYS-PCI? Is there a MOSS PCI card? Or does the M3 MOSS card somehow attach to the OASYS-PCI?

I use EXB-MOSS in my Triton Rack. These days, though, you can get a Prophecy for less off eBay than an EXB-MOSS card. Add a Triton of any type and an EXB-SCSI and it's cheaper to get a Z1. Still, a Z1 can't do everything my Triton Rack/MOSS can do so I'm not disappointed.

Later: I see now that the Poll is referring to the OASYS keyboard, although why "PCI" is listed after I don't know. Even in the OASYS, the MOSS connects with a ribbon cable, does it not?

Hi, the Oasys-PCI came out in 2000, and was made to fit into a PC running Windows 98se (I think). It wasn't an expansion option for a keyboard.

This was long before the epic Oasys keyboard came out (~2005).

Although they share similar names, the two (Oasys-PCI and Oasys keyboard) are completely unrelated.

And the MOSS board never fitted in the Oasys keyboard.

Hmmm... With all due respect, sorry to argue Timo: I don't think so. Same project, different hardware disposition and several years elapsed between - yes. But unrelated? I'd be surprised.

Karma, hearing the MOSS board with Karma features BLOWS MY MIND! I had it in many Tritons of all types, but when I use it in my KARMA. It totally ROCKS!!! I will never sell my KARMA w/ MOSS--EVER! Smile
