Hey hey,

Can some one please tell me if you can program/assign DJ Drops on a Korg Key or on a micro Pad? I currently have a mac pro connected to a zero4 using Traktor. I thought I could probably run live8 in the background and activate the the "drop" (sound fx, horns etc) via a midi link. haven't tried but I thought assigning an MP3 file to a pad would have been the better option but I cant seem to be able to do this in Korg Editor.
cheers guys...

Rod

i don't know specifics, but basically you're going have to assign your fx to a midi CC, then ur pad to the same CC. or, if you have a software sampler in live, simply assign them to a piano midi note in the sampler and have the pad/key play that note.

the nanokey on its own can't play sound. You need to use a computer instrument plug-in such as a VSTi to play sound, or an actual other keyboard. So, in live, there should be options for creating software instruments; if you make one and ur midi is hooked up fine, you should be able to play it.

live is kinda complicated to navigate though imho >.<
