Thanks Alexi for improving the Input files with Yamaha tvn and Soundfont2 files and making this an even better and more complete software. Well worth owning and very well done. Very Happy

Well, it does what it says it does:

Current Supported File Formats:
(.PCM) - Korg PA1X/PA800/PA2X
(.KMP) - Korg PA1X/PA800/PA2X & Triton Series
(.TVN) - Yamaha TYROS 2 Voice File
(.SF2) - SoundFont 2 Sound Bank

I'm not sure if the pa500 uses PCM/KMP, but if it does, then YES is the answer.

No, the Pa500 has no sample RAM so can not load samples.

WaveXtractor,
I know you've been working hard to develop this software. In my opinion, you should've sticked to the main purpose of why you even started this project. Adding features like youtube extractor and such would only make your work less appealing. I would've developed the youtube extractor as a seperate software.

Thanks for the reply, but would it really? Adding extra features, makes something less appealing? I'd have to disagree.

And I don't think the YouTube addition is going off track, because soon you'll be able to extract the sound from the YouTube video, so I don't see it as going through the wrong path. At the end of the day, this is all about extractring raw .wav data from various sources, so the more options the better, no?

ok, again, this is my personal opinion, so I could be wrong. But here's how I look at it. If you could develop a program that could convert different file formats, merge sets, edit sets,(which is almost impossible, because korg has never helped any of 3rd party developers that i've known) ...and anything that specifically has to to with keyboards, and in particular keyboard arrangers, I would be far more interested than if you add features that people already have access to. I know of at least 4 programs that can capture youtube videos. There's tons of programs that can capture audio from youtube or any source you can imagine with the highest quality possible. By the way, i'm not complaining or anything like that. Obviously , you do have programming skills.

Personally I'm not convinced about the YouTube format either, but I'm glad to see that the tool looks like being here to stay! Good news, thanks WX!

Let me suggest a format: Tom Virostek made a nice upgrade for the Korg DSS-1, which can store all data in a FAT filesystem. Sample data is stored in DMS files. Could this one be integrated?

Tom can be found via google (web.me site) or on the Harmony Central DSS-1 forum, I guess he'd be the most authentic source as far as the file format is concerned.

I think we should remember that this program does not revolve around the YouTube Xtractor, so really it's just an addition, rather than the selling point by itself.

Personally if another program has it. Fine. But Why have 5 program do separate stuff, when 1 can provide all the feature/tools?
Then again its a personal opinion.

Can you provide me with some of these DMS files?

Let's take a simple one, saw wave multisample. I'll post the file somewhere and link it here.

Finally I posted three files, saw, sine and a complex multisound.
