I just purchased a Gibraltar "chair" from Zzounds.
http://www.zzounds.com/item--KAMKT708
I normally stand on stage & play guitar, but now I'm playing keyboards for long stretches and needed a seat.
My poll is to determine how many of you use benches, stools, drum thrones, regular chairs, office chairs, etc.

I looked through the selection and decided this Gibraltar chair/throne was best for me.
Four legs are more stable than three. (I always say)

I bought a Gibraltar drum throne a while back. Pretty comfy, though a drummer friend of mine who also plays keys, thought I was mad to get one of those. He much prefers a bench for playing keyboards. The main reason I went for a drum throne was for the visual angle. In our duo, my wife who sings lead is standing so, to even the visual height a bit, I went with the throne as benches never adjust high enough.

Yeah, that's part of the reason why I went with this model. It can adjust up to 30 inches high. (makes me look like I might be standing) Cool

The other reason I posted this was to gauge how many people get on here regularly.

Sadly, there aren't that many. 10?

10? I'm looking at the view count and it's up to 150 -- for a thread about thrones I'd say you're doing OK. That more folks don't respond??? It's a thread about drum thrones at a keyboard site.

How many threads have you done to establish the statistical sample?

BTW: Never sit to play if I can help it - something about it kills my back... which doesn't normally complain.
