I remember when they released the M3, all the hype, I couldn't wait to get my hands on one, bought on impulse, had owed the triton with a moss board, loved it, figured can't go wrong, right?,wrong! turns out I liked the triton better than the M3,didn't live up to the hype,at least to me, I know the M3 has more features than the triton,it just didn't take its sound to the next level, hopefully the kronos will, I know i'm a bigger fan of keyboards that generate their own sounds than romplers, I was a fan of yamaha until they removed the plg boards from the motif fx, and i'm a big fan of the kurzweil PC3K, so this time around I'm not going to let the hype get to me,and i'm going to try one before i bye one, just wait and see.

Also liked the Triton Extreme better than the M3, as the TE was more of an 'instant gratification' machine right out of the box, which I very much appreciated Smile Overall, I felt that the presets on the Extreme just sounded better, probably due to it being an evolution of sorts, whereas the M3 was the first (and maybe last?) of a new breed.

That being said, I certainly didn't hate the M3. Just liked the Triton better.

I third your opinions. I loved the triton's overall character...the filters, esp. It wasn't just the presets but overall timbre of sound.

Thankfully kronos is a dream come true. Hopefully it will have some te presets.
