|

Hey guys,
I am trying to record my Korg MS200B into ableton 8 using a Pod Studio UX2 (formerly called Toneport) and an M-Audio Midisport 1x1. I cannot get any sound much less record the synth.
Based on forum browsing I've learned:
You can record audio, but not midi tracks into ableton with the 2000B.
You need to create an external instrument inside a midi track and arm that track. Monitor needs to be set to in, Not auto. But where does the audio come from, the M-Audio or the UX2? Also, would I be recording into the audio track or the midi turned ext. inst. track? What channels need to be set with regards to Midi to and Midi from?
You need to go into preferences and select the interface as the input and output device. I selected the UX2 because that's the only one I can manually set. Does that sound right?
You need to alter the control surfaces under input and output with regards to the interfaces. Once again, this gets tricky because I am running two interfaces so what goes in row 1 and what goes in row 2?
If anyone has made it this far, thanks for your time. Please let me know if you guys have any insight.
Thanks
Tim |
