61 key being the smallest is so "traditional". I'd LOVE to see a 49 key version because I find myself indulging in Ipad apps more and more and love the portability but it's not the most powerful setup in the world. Having something like the Kronos would be perfect in a small version. Maybe I'm the only one who would buy it and in reality maybe it's not such a good idea but I think it would be cool. What do you think? |

PHENOMENAL KOSMIC POWER!!... itty-bitty (playing) space.
Bet you'll see a desktop version first - in 3 or 4 years.

I actually didn't mind the Kontrol 49 because it was full size keys and the transpose buttons were quick reach not to mention a great feel. The Korg 707 was also not bad to play though the sounds were not my cup of tea.I think if you kept the keys full size and a quality keybed with quick transpose buttons. It wouldn't be too bad. |

I don't think the whole physical UI would fit in a 49 key section. If you check the 61 key version, the physical UI barely fits. _________________ Korg Kronos 61

That much power in such a small space would likely create a Black Hole and time and space as we know it would come to an end.
Just a guess though.
