According to the Korg UK web site, the Pitchblack+ has been discontinued.

It's still listed in Germany, Japan, the US, and the 2011 Proview.

Does anyone know if the Pitchblack+ is indeed being discontinued? I don't want to buy one only to find it's being replaced.

Why would you not want to buy one if it's being discontinued? You might get it cheap! I suspect Korg are probably going to discontinue most of their guitar products. I think keyboards are probably where they make most of their revenue.

I'd be surprised if Korg abandoned the tuner market completely. I wouldn't want to buy a Pitchblack+ now (I've haven't noticed any reduction in the price) only to find that an improved tuner's announced next month.

Ahhh I see, fair comment, maybe they are going to re-vamp the range.

Tuners vary greatly. They improve by becoming more accurate, having a faster response, by having more informative displays, by becoming more robust, having better signal bypass systems, by supporting more tunings and temperaments...

The Pitchblack+ is unusual (unique as far as I know) in that two instruments can be connected at once (it combines the function of tuner and A/B switch).

I'm specifically asking about the Pitchblack+ rather than the Pitchblack (which is still advertised in the UK).

Thanks.
I really wasn't aware. I just use my AX3000B's built in tuner, or my Roland TU-2 and to be honest I never really considered it particularly vital. Obviously the AX is different...

seems like the pitchblack + is the same device is the regular pitchblack but with the ability to plug in two different instruments plus store presets etc.. looks like a great device to me
