I just bought this Wavedrum used and set it up tonight. Everything seems OK except that I can't get the AUX IN to function.

I plug in my headset and it's OK. I plug in the mini-stereo cable (I've tried three) to the output from my computer and I can hear nothing. I hear everything when I "y" the computer output to my speakers but nothing passes through the Wavedrum to the headset.

Is there some magic setting I am unaware of or is this thing just not functioning the way the feller said it would?

I future I will spend a little more time researching things before I toss it out to the forum. Here is the answer I found in the manual I don't have.

Adjusting the volume of a device connected to the
AUX IN connector
1. As described in “Connecting audio devices” and
“Turning the power on” (See page 6), connect your
audio device to the WAVEDRUM’s AUX IN jack and
turn on the power.
2. Hold down the BANK/MODE button and press button
4 to enter Global mode.
3. Press the BANK/MODE button (several times). The
display will indicate Co (Common).
4. Press button 2 to make the display indicate A. I n and
the value.
5. Use the controls of the connected audio device and the
WAVEDRUM's mix level to adjust the volume. Turn the
VALUE knob to adjust the WAVEDRUM's mix level.
note: We recommend that you raise the mix level of the AUX
IN jack only when you’re using it. However if you are using
it all the time, and would like to leave the mix level raised,
you can save this setting. Press the WRITE button twice to
save the setting. For more details on saving, refer to page 9.

I'll be damned if it didn't work perfectly. I'm still a little shaky of how to get out of that mode but having found the Manual online here, I'll look it up.

I don't know if it's "magic" but yes, there is a setting that needs to be adjusted for this. Wink

If you didn't get a User Manual with your Wavedrum, download one from Korg. You'll definitely need it in the future.

That being said...

Page 15 of the manual explains the AUX IN setting. The reason you're not hearing anything is that the "default" setting is 00. It is suggested that this be turned down if not in use (extra noise maybe? It's not explained).

Anyway, looking at the control panel, hold down the BANK button and press button 4 to enter Global Mode.

From there, press just the BANK button until the screen reads "Con" (Common Mode).

Then press button 2 and the display will briefly indicate "A.In" (Aux input). Then it will display the value, probably 000.

When the display is showing you a number, simply turn the VALUE knob to the desired level while listening to your input signal!

Important:
You need to save your settings before exiting the Global Mode.

To do so, press the WRITE button twice.

That's it!

To get back to LIVE MODE, hold the BANK button, and button 1. The display will indicate "LIV." Now you're good to go!
Very Happy

My bad, Wavedrummer. I didn't get my manual until today but managed to find it online and found that setting.

Thanks for taking the time to help me out.
