it's obviously a clerical error:

they just missed a comma,

it is the common 77.3 version (E-->A plus one third of a black key)

mostly used in gamelan renditions of turkish popular song (a powerful commercial segment among Turkish communities in Indonesia).

Would more then 88 keys work? How High can tones be within audible range? :X You might find the right tone to make the dogs go berserk, and you could tear buildings apart. What an amaizing instrument. :O

Why should 88 be the limit? Actually, the Bösendorfer Imperial traditionally has 97 Keys (since about 1900).

With MIDI you could have up to 128 keys. I think that would cover pretty much the whole audible spectrum. I'd love to have one of those!

Even if you had more than that, I suppose you could have duplicated 'keys' such as in those hexagonal-grid controllers, or you could have microtonal increments (a 24 key octave for example)
