What, like those endless discussions of what the kronos is - before it was revealed? Wink

Looks like overheating can reveal itself in many forms

Big letters, big pictures, super big emoticons, popcorn ...
The well known "blow yourself up" effect in many variations... Laughing

Knew you were going to say that.

Anyway, if one of the arguments that were running around here and on other forums was that the big companies have better products, and they are not releasing it on purpose in order to control the pace of the market - than the Y and R might have something they were maybe planning on releasing later on - but maybe now consider releasing sooner than expected. Who knows.

That's not a urban legend, it's a fact:

I know for sure that Roland could sell a synth which runs on plain water.

They don't release it because they are in cahoots with Big Oil. Evil or Very Mad

Really.

I can see why folks think that new/better products are throttled. The Big
3 reminds me of a neck & neck 3 horse race, every year.

I hope that 2011 is a breakout year. While bold new products are riskier, a product success can have a big payoff by capturing a lot of new sales
and new customers.

I still think the small market evaluation( total # of folks that actually purchase a w/s, expensive synth), economic weaknesses, 2 year plan cycle ( the risk reward calculation by corps) has accounted for later and later
releases.

This is why I think a book should be eventually written about marketing & product development in the big 3 .

Maybe Roland's new product for musikmesse 2011 is a book about that:

How about:

tooooo funny.

I can't estimate how many years I spent getting my A50 controller to midi
zone split, patch change, etc, with my Jv880.

I must have memorized those silly manuals backwards & forwards.

i'm a big fan of kurzweil, and since ray kurzweil is back in the picture at kurzweil, im sure they have something really big planned for namm 2012, as for yamaha, I think they took a step back, removing the plg boards from the xs, and roland, they're my fourth choice, so i'll go with a kronos 61,and the best board kurzweil makes, either a pc3k7, or the successor to the k series.

Let's just say I know it from very good source... (however don't get too excited, remember Roland used the Juno's name for the Juno-G, and it wasn't really a "new Juno"). That's really all I can say...

Please, link or it didn't happen man.

LOL, believe me or not, I don't care, I have nothing to prove...

Wait until April 6th and you'll see by yourself who was right...

Here's your links: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HPK2SozFgJk

Jupiter name is floating in the air, however Roland showed it could re-use the Juno name for keyboards such Juno-G, which are actually far from the original Juno keyboard... So, I wouldn't be too excited.

Roland introduced the GAIA the last year for MusikMesse, and there's still room in the catalogue between the GAIA and VSynth-GT (that shouldn't be replaced before the end of this year or later).

That's all I can say, with the fact it won't have sequencer and it still sounds good (at least from my source ears).

So was I right?... We just need to check the sounds in depth now to be sure if it's good.
