The controllers on board the Kronos look very much like those on the M3.

That should make the learning curve a little straighter, I guess.

Has anyone been able to locate (and download) a PDF-formatted user's guide for the Kronos so I can study up?

btw, Sweetwater Music says shipping date is in June!!!

Um....no.

Have you viewed any of the videos or read the specs? It's more like an Oasys.

Sounds Good

...and I would suggest that a manufacturer using the same physical controllers between different models is not at all unusual.

You shouldn't worry about the learning curve. Korg synths works basically the same no matter the workstation. It uses the same UI metaphors since the first TouchView screen on the Trinity. And you get mostly the same modes too: COMBI, PROG, SEQ, etc.

Laughing LOL at question!

Are you serious? Look up danatkorg or RichF posts which refer Kronos questions to the OASYS manual... not the M3 one.

Kronos has an expanded OASYS inside. Nothing to do with an M3. At all. Period.

I still keep wondering 2 questions...do people know anything about synths?
or...do people have anything better to do?

LOLZ!

2 theories:

1) Korg newbies or keyboard newbies
2) trolls

I believe the name of the song is "Forget You", not "f*ck YOU, Pal"... and it is by Cee Lo Green..

I knew I sold my M3 too early..damn! And this Is what we call a "Thread for Dumbasses" I guess??

Most of the controllers on KRONOS are actually new... and not the same as M3. Sliders, knobs, data dialer, buttons.... all are different. I have M3 and I played with KRONOS at NYC SamAsh.

I think where the confusion/p1ss-taking has started is because the thread title is a little bit misleading.

In response the questions I *think* you're asking - as has been said, the Korg layout and format "is pretty similar".... probably on purpose - if you've got a system that works, don't break it!!!

Get in the queue with regards the manuals! Laughing
Nothing's been released as yet - keep checking the Korg support page for Kronos (at the website) -

http://www.korg.com/Product.aspx?pd=598

Hope this helps

Dan
