It works fine. I can play all the soft synths via ableton etc

But I cannot use the 'pitch' and 'mod wheel' function on the microkorg to edit the midi sound coming from ableton. they simply don't work.

octave shift works normally. arpeggiator doesn't.

is that normal?

if not, please help Smile

Pitch and Mod wheels should work but it's really up to the synth you are playing whether it supports it or not. they are standard messages though so if it is supported, there shouldn't need to be any remapping involved..
May be worth checking that the MIDI Filter in Ableton or on the MK itself is allowing through CC messages.

Arpeggiator will also work but you will need to set the tempo right, or set the microKorg's clock to External and make sure you are sending MIDI clock to the microKorg's In port.

You will also want to change the 'Position' in Global or MIDI settings so that MIDI output is after the arpeggiator. By default it is probably before the arpeggiator. This is a useful setting because you can chose to record the arpegio notes themselves for example, or your keyboard note input. In the latter case, you could change the chord structure afterwards or reprogram the step mutes. You could also use it to further arpeggiate an already recorded arpeggio..
