|
|
I know its a small thing but does anyone know if the Kronos has the same Drum patterns as the M3 or the Oasys?
The M3 has like 620 drum patterns where as the Oasys has 200.
Could it have more than both?
Thanks guys! _________________ Generic is the Enemy, I am a mercenary and Music is my weapon.

Per korg UK kronos spec page
[KARMA]
KARMA Modules:
One module in Program mode, four modules in Combination and Sequencer modes
Generated Effects (GE):
2,048 presets, 1,536 Users (96 come Preload)
Controllers:
On/Off, Latch, Chord, Assign, Module, Control, KARMA Realtime Control Sliders [1] – [8], KARMA Scene [1] – [8], KARMA Switches [1] – [8], KARMA Wave-Sequencing, GE Sub Category, Freeze Randomize, Time Signature Control, Tempo Synchronize, Auto RTC (Real Time Control) setup
[Drum Track]
Drum Track Patterns:
697 preset (common with the preset patterns of the MIDI sequencer)
-------------------
Italic & Bold emphasis is mine.
It would appear that there's extreme expandability of drum tracks associated with KARMA GE's. Whether those GE's are easy user enter / adjustable is another story.
697 preset tracks would seem to put it on par with the M3... no specifics as to whether these are copies or addenda -- I believe OASYS has an "import from sequencer" function whereby once drum tacks are loaded into sequencer, they can then be used as drum tracks using the actual drum track function (vs sequencer)... pending actual release and comparison I'd say that if it was ON M3 and you WANTED it badly enough, there'd be a way to get it into Kronos (or OASYS for that matter) by creating a mini .smf sequence of one "loop" to load in.

Also, based on the NAMM demos there's the thing about "many of the patterns were created by players like Ricky Lawson..."
Live drummer + the large ambient drum kits!!!
