Not easily. Unless you intend to redo all the mappings yourself. Also you cannot stream user samples from disk, so you'd need to use a lot of RAM to load those sounds up.

Thats to bad. I think they are missing the boat not being able to something
like this. These sounds are real professional sounds and sound great.
I don't think you could produce that master of the silk road type of sound
quality on the KRONOS. This is where those software sound packages
for diffrent types of instuments around the world would come in.
This is why Im still thinking about a StudioBlade that can play all that
stuff. I wish the KRONOS could then it would have it all.

Masters of the Silk Road uses the Play engine. The samples are in a format that can only be used with that engine. There are no individual wave files. There is not much Korg can do as this is proprietary. Yes you can use StudioBlade or easier/cheaper just use a laptop.

You could "resample" certain instruments that you really want to use. There are software products such as Redmatica's Autosampler or Samplit that can do this. You would need to get them into SoundFont format and then load into the Kronos. This can be effective for certain sounds and less so for others. But quite a bit of work ahead if you would do it.

So there's nothing Korg can do as it's in proprietary format short of just making a keyboard that is running Windows or OSX, which the Kronos is not.

Busch.

Yes it does sound like alot of work and the sounds may not be that good
after you do all of that. Yes it would be cool if some company would
include a pc system sin thier box since thay are so small nowadays
and start thinking out of the box. That way people could incorparate the
sounds right into the controls of the keyboard along with the other sounds
it already has. Now that would be a game changer.

The problem is, any manufacturer producing such an instrument are expected to support it. As soon as any loaded VST instrument mis-behaves, it will be the instrument manufacturer who gets the complaints before the VST plugin company does. Above all, any manufacturer is aiming to make their instrument as reliable as possible... allowing 3rd party software onto their product compromises this reliability amd is most likely why no major manufacturer has yet gone down that path and has left it to the likes of Muse Research, Open Labs, SMPro Audio and the like... even then, they will only approve certain plugins for "verified" installation on their devices.

If you want a StudioBlade, go ahead and get one.

I just ask the hard questions and Im sure a company will design a system
that I speak of before long so the software guys won't have one
up on them. Im sure they are watching that industry closely.
Look at what is happening in guitar world with AxeFx Ultra artist are
using right now on stage Do a search on youtube you will see.

The real question is why are you asking the SAME QUESTION you asked three weeks ago?

If you think it is so great, why don't you buy a StudioBlade already?

I think this is not correct, there is no "extra" RAM in Kronos. All sounds are using the same RAM dynamically.
