Am i the only one not impressed with East West and vienna symphony orchestral VST's?
The strings dont sound that great. The brass is good but not amazing.
i will say the choirs are PHENOMENAL though... _________________

Perhaps you're not the only one, but are definitely the minority. |

While EWQLSO and VSL are starting to show their age a bit, they still get a LOT of usage. EWQLSO has that Hollywood sound written all over it, and that's why it's so revered. VSL is on the other hand extremely flexible.
However, LASS is a superb strings library. Blows everything else out of water, IMHO.
BTW; Busch, second link was wrong: http://media.soundsonline.com/mp3/2256_Morning%20Adventure.mp3 |

I does seem strange that you spend so much time talking about the StudioBlade, but don't actually seem to want to buy one.

The problem I have is THAT YOU ASKED THE SAME IDENTICAL QUESTION THREE WEEKS AGO.
Do you not see how ASKING THE SAME QUESTION REPEATEDLY could be seen as trolling? IT IS. |

Im not talking about that anymore. You would not understand anyway.
I wonder why robinhood keeps running his patch ads at the bottom of his post. We have enough commercials. |

It is part of his 'signature' - a user profile setting on the forum that goes on the bottom of your posts. He isn't actually selling any sounds either.
Its just the same as my posts mention my gear and a link to the online Korg community that I moderate.
I still think that you need consider the onboard sounds more seriously before thinking about expansion. There will be great sounds on board and buying the KRONOS or any hardware synth is on a same level as buying one of those packages - it is a complete instrument with its own sounds. _________________ Current Gear: Kronos 61, RADIAS-R, Volca Bass, ESX-1, microKorg, MS2000B, R3, Kaossilator Pro +, MiniKP, AX3000B, nanoKontrol, nanoPad MK II,

As for "out of touch" this is simply not true. I am a huge fan of computer-based VSTs and samplers, and I own a large number of these products.
You seem to have a sophomoric "either or" mentality, where a person has to choose between a keyboard workstation and a personal computer. More advanced musicians realize both can be useful musical tools.
For example, if I wanted the absolute best orchestral sounds, I would use one of the dedicated large sample-based libraries from East West, VSL, etc. However, to run a large number of simultaneous instruments, many times these libs need their own dedicated computer (or multiple computers).
P.S. -- Thank you for confirming you were, in fact, trolling by posting identical posts a few weeks apart.
