|
|
I have purchased KORG iELECTRIBE for iPad the other day, because it was on my iTunes “WISH LIST” and the App was on sale for 9.99. The day I purchased the App, I found out that there was a new edition of iELECTRIBE out—the iELECTRIBE Gorillaz Edition. Is it possible for me to cancel the purchase and buy the Gorillaz Edition instead?? |

I don't think you can cancel it. But as an owner of the Gorillaz version, you might want to stick with what you have. Many people like the standard one better. |

None of the samples in the Gorillaz version are cleared, that is to say you don't have permission to use them in your own music. However, I make music for the hell of it not for commercial reasons and am never much worried about clearing my samples. Basically, the Gorillaz version is a sample-based Electribe using sounds from the newest Gorillaz album. The original iElectribe is a much better option for making music professionally. My personal opinion? Buy both, it'll cost less than $40 US and it's worth every penny. _________________ KORG Electribe 2, Volca Keys, Volca Sample, Gadget |

You bought the original hardware iElectribe? I've been looking at them on eVilBay. My wife tells me I don't need one! I tell her I know that, but I bloody well want one!
P.S. To the O.P. - yes, just get both, they are inexpensive, have their individual characteristics and are both great fun to play with so go for it! _________________ Music is the best (Frank Zappa) |

I see. I bet a lot of us whose 1st introduction to the electribe world is via the iElectribe (of either type) are tempted to try the "real" things though!

Oh yes, the real thing would be a lot of fun. The knobs would be easier to turn too. I don't have room for another instrument though.. |
