|
|
Hi guys! I've been using the iMS-20 for a while and learning new stuff everyday thanks to these forums, but it seems I just can't get the hang of adding a second synth over the main one (which I use as a bass).
I've tried playing around with the sound edit screen and the sequencer edit in the various drum channels, but I just can't get what I want.
When you hit sound edit and go to the synth, is it possible to prevent the app from striking the same key over and over? Very annoying. If possible, it would make it less stressful to tweak a sound accurately.
Even if I manage to get something I like (after an hour+ of nerve-wrecking adjustments!), when I get to the sequencer edit of said drum channel to edit the pattern (I like using the keyboard), it doesn't really behave as a synth but more as if I was just changing the pitch of some weird drum, that keeps kicking in at each step. How to make it behave more like a real synth?
Hope this is clear enough to understand lol
Thanks in advance for any help, this would really be a breakthrough if I could seriously add synth layers! |

Why don't you just simply load a sound from the presets to a drum-channel (and tweak it for your needs)?
There are cool preset-basses and stuff. Load them to some of the drum-channels and use the kaoss-pads to build up complex patterns with freaky ARP-Sequences! _________________ Current Gear:
