Yeah.. my Kronos is corrupted already. Need to restore. Cannot find the DVD slot in the Kronos.

Oh, by the way, can I watch a DVD movie on the Kronos screen while I'm playing?

Sorry... weird mood here... Rolling Eyes

You would think that the back up data would be shipped on a USB memory stick. CDs and DVDs seem to be old technology . . .

my Kronos is working fine...

... but my DVD player just died.

How do I restore my DVD files from the Kronos?

I tried reading the Kronos USB key on my Playstation, but it keeps saying "cannot help you with your DVD your identity has been stolen, so we don't know if your DVD is really yours".

How can I restore my ME in order to restore my Kronos in order to restore my DVD ?

Thumbs Up

Is it possible Kronos can access your desktop/DVD via the USB? That may be stretching it a bit?

Didn't you copy your DVD on to an external hard drive? That's the first thing you were supposed to do! I don't know why it's so hard for men to follow the instruction manual! Lol

I have not the user manual because my DVD has not been released yet!

It will be available in the shops next month!

How could I have read the manual?

Pirate!!!! You have a pirated copy of a Kronos. You stole it off the internet. If you had a real Kronos, you'd have the manual! Cool

In this respect musicians are like engineers. They follow the "trial-and-error", and not the "RTFM" method.
But one thing puzzles me: how can a DVD "die"? Wink

I'm sure there's a simple solution. Since the Kronos supports external USB media devices, you should be able to restore direct from DVD/CD/Flash Drive, etc....
The M3 did this.

Thanks RC.
Are you saying to make a transfer from the DVD to a thumb drive or something like that?

If you connect a USB CD/DVD burner to your Kronos, you sould be able to read direct from it. Updates/patches that are released for the Kronos, you can simply copy them to a USB flash drive and boot up and upgrade from it. This is what the M3 did. I'm sure Korg is continuing that technology.

Yes this makes sense about an update transfer to a usb and then the K,
but I didn't think Korg was expecting everyone to go out and purchase a DVD drive to do a restore data?

In the most recent All-Access demo, the gentlemen demonstrating the Kronos said that the Kronos will appear like an external hard drive to your computer when it's connected through USB. I am sure that there are multiple ways to move data to and from the Kronos, but it seems like dragging and dropping files from your PC will be made easy.
