| Will this editor allow you to assign chords to the virtual pad triggers and then trigger them from an external device for triggering? |

You should be able to do that on the machine itself or (AND) from the KORG software & plugin editor.
The KARMA Labs software is primarily for creating your own KARMA GE (Generated Effects). E.g. base grove patterns and tweaking the thousands of parameters involved in the generation of the musical content from KARMA.
