Hi,

It would be interesting, and very helpful if some of the lucky new Kronos owners would provide some feedback on how good/realistic sounding are the Kronos Orchestral sounds ? and possibly some of the other acoustic instrument sounds, i.e. (Nylon Guitar, Acoustic Steel Guitar, World Instruments, Sax,...etc.)

So far, I feel the Kronos has been quite Piano & Synth Centric. (Pianos seem to be the star of the show). I am sure the synths, pads, and basses are great sounding, but I have not heard any great sounding Orchestral Strings, Woodwinds, Brass, World Instruments, ..etc.

How about some user review posts to delight us

Hopefully additional, very high-quality, realistic Orchestral, and Acoustic Instrument sample libraries would be available in the future for the Kronos.

You might consider checking out the Korg OASYS demos on Korg's site. there are a ton of them! Look in the HD-1 demos and EXs3 demos, as well as the page that just says "demos". It also appears there are new orchestral/world percussion sounds in EXs5... a new timpani sample set and a new tamtam. There's also some strings in EXs1 (originally for the OASYS... i've never heard them tho) and some other orchestral sounds that haven't really been demonstrated from that expansion. It would be kinda cool if some OASYS user could post some demos from EXs1 ... all they have on the Korg site is piano demos.

Also... KARO has developed some pretty awesome sample sets for the OASYS (totally compatible with the Kronos). Their string ensemble samples are pretty great. You'd have to pay for those, but they are available.
