They won't sell a single unit at this price.
Patience brings down prices.
I would wait until Thomann has published prices. _________________ www.soundcloud.com/orpheus2006

HTFR have had those same prices up for ages - long before anybody had any info about pricing. It's just pure guesswork, and nothing that we should be worrying about. |

I think this is just a case of a shop blindly posting up what is likely to be the RRP, not the street price. |

Well surely the retailers have some sort of insight into the Prices, they all can't be wrong...I would have thought it would be in their interest to not disclose pricing until it was confirmed, and would have thought pricing is fixed by Korg not the retailers
Blindly advertising is going to do themselves a disservice without real evidence of what they are going to be selling for,and would better off using the "POA"acronym to stop people from looking elsewhere.
Why is everyone under the impression they are going to be cheaper than those prices advertised anyhow!I would have thought prices would be undercut or fluctuated depending on the buying power of the retailer and the amount they sell so can't imagine them being that much lower than advertised upon release.

Yep, and I've pre-ordered my K88 today, free monitors are sweet even if I end up selling them ( which I probably will )! |

Those are exactly what the Kronos' are going for in the States in US dollars. Pricing error. |

I´m seeing the same prices here in my country as well.
So, it seems that in the end, a Kronos is going to cost much more in Euroland than in the US and Japan, as suspected. ...40% MORE.
Kinda cool, uh?
Within the actual economic recession, and seeing Kronos overpriced over other countries, I suspect the european citizes are gonna think twice this purchase after all and will look for alternatives. _________________ Regards.

European? Looking for alternatives to putting your money in a Kronos?
Buy a Greek Government Bond.
It's Greek like the Kronos,
it's got a totally virtual engine,
itì's got more outputs than inputs (albeit they are unbalanced)
it will keep you awake at night for endless our of programming,
and it has the amazing "distant drumming" feature, excellent for dramatic soundtrack effects |

This would be a self-defeating sales strategy. Everyone who can do a ten-count would import it from the US, or defer the purchase. _________________ www.soundcloud.com/orpheus2006

The K88 is available in the UK for a MAX of £3,299 (Bonners) but MAY end up less. Includes a pair of monitors if ordered before the end of June. So, the retailer shown at the top of the thread has no chance of selling any quanitities at £3,799 |
