Just got the iMS-20 for the iPad, and was wondering why my MIDI-input only is working with drum-pad nr-3.
Any way to change this?

I got other music app for the ipad where the MIDI-input works just fine.

I'm using the camera-kit, and a Cakewalk UM-1G midi->usb cable.

Have searched both on google and in this forum, but didnt find anything about this.

Really hope someone can help ..

I'm not actually that familiar with the iMS-20 software but it sounds to me like a simple note or channel assignment problem on your controller.

not a real problem as such - just a case of setting it up right for the job.

One crucial piece of information you missed out is what you are using as a MIDI controller!

if it is triggering even one note then your MIDI cable/interface and rest of the equipment is fine - MIDI messages are getting through.
Just a case of either setting up your controller to send the right notes through, or if possible, setting iMS20 to respond to the notes that your controller is sending.

Well .. I'm using an Roland E-16 keyboard, and uses the Cakewalk UM-1G to convert from MIDI to usb.

I get all the different tones from the keyboard, but they only assign to a single drum-pad in the app.
And when i use the keyboard with any other music app it works perfect.

Not sure if there is anyway to change/setup the midi-output from the roland E-16.
And dont think i can change any sittings in the app , nothing about it in the manual, as far as I can see ..

Yea, you'll need to figure out how to get your Roland assigned to other MIDI channels. It is pretty easy once you get going, as the parts are on sequential channels.

Track 1 = MIDI Channel 1
Track 2 (Drum 1) = MIDI Channel 2
Etc..
