I have the impression that since the first report of the problem, others have been prying it off to see if they could. I suspect that with normal use, i.e. not TRYING to remove it, it will often be fine. Korg has acknowledged a problem with some units, and issued a fix, so it should be all good, IF folks stop TRYING to pry off the wheel! |

According to Richard Formidoni in another thread there was a problem with the initial run and subsequent runs had a new wheel design. Those that have problems can email their Korg Distributor to get a replacement wheel. I am having issues with mine as well. No other issues other than using the up down arrows to scroll through programs in combination mode and having it freeze if I go to quickly, along with hitting the ok button and having it blink but not do anything on occasion. I'm happy overall - just need a new data wheel. Sounds are very good. |

The pics of the wheel spoke for themselves.
Then they were removed from this forum.
I understand that costs need to be managed when porting the best bits of OASYS (and more) into a more compact, affordable format.
I don't believe that Korg had any intent to ship out units with this knob design.
Earthquakes and tsunamis rolled into town.
Factories and supply chains were decimated.
People died. Tens of thousands and still counting.
You guys wanted your Kronos.
Korg pulled off a miracle and got your Kronos to you.
Maybe they had to compromise on a part to get Kronos to you.
That's dedication... from Korg to you.
You have your Kronos. You have acknowledgement from Korg that they are aware of your issue.
You have a super OASYS now. Knobs can and will be re-fitted.
The potential of your Kronos does not revolve around one knob, unless you are one yourself. |

I don't understand, so please excuse me if this comes off wrong:
I had to pry off my data wheel. perhaps over time it would become loose and I look forward to the new dial from Korg.
As for the vector stick, the only complaint anyone could possibly have is that the square "box" around the housing the stick seems a little plastic. The stick and its resolution, up, down, left right and MIXTURE is completely perfect. Actually 100%, It acts as expected.
What is the real complaint? |

They were not removed. The pictures are still there. KF doesn't host pictures, so if they did temporarily disappear it would've been because of an issue with the image host site. |

The pics were definitely removed web-wide, save from the google image cache.
And now they are back.
It's all about balance |

Its about balancing your knob with your joy stick...once you get this right you have access to the picts.
