I've owned many, many synths since 1988. None of them had an issue with a data slider or wheel. The data wheel (and the vector joystick) of the Kronos feels like a part of a dirt cheap toy made in China. There's no excuse for using such a cheap part given the Kronos prices.

You know it would be nice if people could come on here and contribute to forums rather than troll. This is just sad...

I am not thinking anything. I have gone through your posts looked at your join date and you are bordering on trolling. You contribute nothing to this forum and it is just sad. I do not need justification for my purchase. I could care less if you like my synth purchase decision or not. We all have opinions. I DO CARE that every time I come onto this forum which is for my synth you are posting some nonsense and in all caps no less. Another internet no no. I do not need to fight over a forum, and am asking you to please as a good forum contributor:

1. Try the Kronos yourself and then form opinions.
2. Quit using all caps. It is rude.
3. Try contributing technical info that is helpful for the people here.

That is all.

Confused Kronos Data dial does feel cheap...that's what I thought when I used it during All Access party... I think it's the same as the dialer on MicroX

so.... WHO CARES? it's just a data wheel. it's a knob, you spin it and it turns. I did watch this thing on video, it seems to work just fine. I hardly even use mine, i usually use the value slider and the up/down buttons. i bet if you took the data wheels on other workstations and they weren't recessed so they'd stick up, they'd feel just the same as this one. The only difference is you have to stick your finger into that little notch to turn it, whereas this one you grab it and give it a spin.

If your biggest concern is the build quality of a data wheel, then i'd say you don't have much to complain about at all...
