Do i need the official camera connection kit in order to use a USB midi keyboard with the korg apps?

I've seen a few unofficial camera connection kits (not made by apple) on eBay for about £3. I was wondering if one of these unofficial kits will work with midi or will I have to shell out for the official (apple made) kit.

Well at £3 you can give it a shot and let us know! I didn't see anything like that, so I shelled out full price for the Apple one. This would be really good to know for others though.

I would think it would be completely fine, as all the connection kit really does is just connect a few of the terminals from the 30 pin.

If only there was one that could charge even with the adaptor on.

Just brought an unofficial one from eBay. £6, more than the other one that I saw the other day but still a lot cheaper than the official connection kit. I'll post my findings on here and on my site when I get it and test it. =]

Right, the unofficial kit came in the post earlier. It works great with my NanoPad =].

There's more info about it on my site, head over and have a read of the post if you want.
