Thanks to this forum I just completed a purchase of a Kronos 61 from Steve at Bananas. Great price, nice to deal with.
I am devising a portable composing rig for travel to South America.
I have been testing an Rme Babyface with Beyerdynamic dt 1350 cans and Mac air 13" for the last a few weeks, they make a great portable setup. Good clean pres and lightweight.
My plan is to use spidif pair from the Kronos and a dpa 4015 for vocals and either electric guitar D.I or acoustic with dpa 4099 into the two channel Babyface.
My questions-
Anybody using/devising a similar rig?
What daw/other software suggestions- I am just playing with garage band for now.
Who could custom build a lightweight, but rugged flightcase to my specs?
It is amazing the high quality level of lightweight gear available for little cost.
